Applications are now open for our Summer Byte-Sized Challenge! 🎉 The Byte-Sized Challenge is a flexible, 16-lesson micro:bit and design thinking curriculum where students learn foundational coding skills while designing technology solutions for real community needs. This program is designed to work in many settings and schedules. After a short virtual kick-off call in early June, you’ll have the entire summer to run the curriculum with your students in whatever format works best for your program. When you participate, Code Savvy provides:
  • Free curriculum (16 lessons) that can be adapted to your schedule
    • Our curriculum is available in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali, as well as dual-language versions in English & Spanish, English & Hmong, and English & Somali.
  • A short virtual onboarding session in early June
  • Implementation support throughout the summer
  • 🎁 Several participants will receive classroom sets of micro:bits!
  • A team ready to help you adapt the curriculum to fit your program

You bring the educator, we provide the rest! This is a great opportunity to add hands-on STEM or coding to your summer programming with minimal prep. If you’re interested in bringing this opportunity to your students this summer, we’d love to connect. 🗓️ Fill out the interest form by May 29th to be considered for this summer’s challenge. Once you fill out the interest form, our team will be in touch with next steps.

Please share this opportunity with educators in your network who are planning summer programming.

Best,

Ashley and The Code Savvy Team
