Good morning,

Rochester Public Schools has a teaching opening in the area of Information Technology.  The full-time position includes two classes that will be taught at the CTECH building and one class with the P-TECH students at RCTC (the classes are structured in extended block-like hours).

The courses that would be taught over the course of the year include: Data Science, Mobile Computer Science Principles, IT Infrastructure, JavaScript/Algorithms, and AP Computer Science.

Ideally, the candidate for this position would hold a Masters degree in Computer Science; however, qualified candidates may have a math background or industry experience (that they could teach under a Tier 2 license in Minnesota).

For P-TECH specifically, Mobile Computer Science Principles is the course that will be offered to 10th grade IT students.
