Calling ALL Teachers interested in Project-based Learning in K-12
Hi! My name is Prerna Ravi and I am a PhD student at MIT CSAIL. I work on designing AI literacy curriculum for K12 students and educators under MIT RAISE.
I am launching a study to explore teachers’ experiences and challenges in implementing project-based learning (PBL) curriculum in their classrooms. The goal of this study is to first unpack strategies employed by educators to assess student learning outcomes in PBL classrooms. Educators will then engage in co-design sessions to formulate new AI-powered assessment tools/frameworks to augment PBL evaluations and address its current gaps. We envision the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) within these tools to aid educators in providing personalized iterative feedback to their students’ projects.
You will be compensated $200 if you complete all sessions/interviews/surveys. If you drop out early on your own, you will be offered a prorated amount depending on the number of hours you have completed (at $20/hour).
Time commitment: roughly 10 hours
Interviews: 1-2 hours
Co-design sessions: 4-5 hours
Follow-up discussions and tool testing: 2-3 hours
Time frame: Feb 2024 - July 2024 [dates for every stage of this study are very flexible depending on educator’s availability within this time period]
