Celebrate CSEdWeek 2017 with a new
Hour of Code activity from CS First

December 4-10

Dear CS First teacher,

As one of the educators who helps make CS First special, we’re excited to give you a sneak peek into what we’ve been working on for Hour of Code 2017. Our new activity, Create your own Google logo, lets students design and code their own Google logo using Scratch.

Google Doodles are special logos that appear on the Google homepage to celebrate holidays and important people, places, and events. At Google there's an entire team of artists, engineers, and other Googlers from all over the world who help create and launch Google Doodles globally almost every day — and now your students can join in the fun.

The activity takes under 60 minutes to complete, and the new modular tutorial format makes it appropriate for students with no Scratch background as well as experienced users. You can check out what CS First students have already created here. We can’t wait to see what your students do!

Sincerely,

The CS First team

The Hour of CodeTM is a nationwide initiative by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.
