Hello students,
My name is Isabela Sanchez Taipe and I am a Wellesley College student and I am reaching out to tell you about FREE digital wellbeing workshops for middle school girls and allies with girls (aged 11-15) focused on designing healthier social media experiences, hosted by researchers from the Youth, Media & Wellbeing Research Lab. As voted by our youth advisory board, this year's topic is Self-Esteem/Self-Confidence.
We will offer a week-long virtual workshop from June 23-27 1pm-3pm EST (accessible to anywhere in the world with internet) and one in-person day workshop at Wellesley College on Monday, July 21 (10-3pm EST)- see Flyer attached below. Youth are welcome to sign up for one, or both.
Sign up for the June weeklong workshop using this link and the July in-person workshop using this link.
These workshops are a great opportunity to learn how to make your experiences with social media more fun and safe. Any middle school girl or allies with girls are encouraged to apply on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Thank you for your time and I hope we can meet you soon on Zoom or in Wellesley Campus. Please feel free to reach out to me or the leader of our lab Professor Charmaraman(lcha...@wellesley.edu) with any questions.
Best,
Tupananchiskama!
