URGENT SQUIRREL NEWS AND OPPORTUNITY

Dearest sunny Squirrelers,

 

The Summer must have passed slowly since July, lacking as it did the adrenalin of pacing after Dillon the celebrated Squirrel Hound and friends.  Ticking off the days in July and August with itchy boredom, smiles must have been hard to form until recently, knowing that the Pre-Ball Mounted Meet was only days away.

 

But, alas!  The poor little chap has been ruled off-games by his Coach because he has to have a small operation next week (all operations on Dylan are small, him being a Jack Russell an'all).  Do not fear: he will come back stronger, fitter and slightly lighter to lead the Hunt to infinity and beyond.  But in the mean time THE PRE-BALL MOUNTED MEET IS CANCELLED.  There, I've said it.  Nothing better than sharing problems; it means everyone can be as unhappy as you are.  And we are so very unhappy to disappoint our loyal supporters.

 

SO...A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GO RACING AT GOODWOOD THIS SUNDAY

 

Resourceful as we are, we have obtained an alternative source of Squirrely fun for you on Sunday.  GOODWOOD RACECOURSE has offered us the amazing opportunity to take a BOX on Sunday 16th September, THIS SUNDAY at the COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE RACE DAY.  We are able to offer to 15 supporters the chance to have a slap-up 3 course lunch and ever-so-refined tea in the Box next to the Countryside Alliance Box ( i.e. dead posh) for the knock down price of £45 per person.  Yes, ONLY £45 PER PERSON.  Goodwood is an cool racecourse: check it out on http://www.goodwood.co.uk/horseracing/ .  We are incredibly grateful to Diana Bourne of Goodwood for enabling us to provide you with this offer.

PS  I do hope you have all bought your BALL TICKETS for 18th OCTOBER.  Dining tickets sold out ages ago but we still have a few places for the PONY CLUB DISCO, which are basically after-dinner tickets, at £45.  Click quickly quickly on www.csshhq.org.uk and follow the instructions.

 

PPS Just for like legal-in-case-type reasons, I should point out that we may decide not to take the Box this Sunday if not enough people want to come. Not likely though. Oh, and we reserve the right to choose who makes up the 15 if too many want to come (though we will try to be fair)
