Are we going to be allowed to camp at the airport/dz, or will we need
to find a place to stay somewhere else?

If we do camp out, are there shower facilities available nearby?

I think we need to try and stick to the threads if we can.
Fail to see the connection between camping/showers and
tandems.

Agreed.  I never read the subj line anyway.

It matters because if you want to look up info on
'tandems' or whatever the subject line heads you
in the right direction.

Yes you can camp at the AP.  There are no indoor showers, we hope to rig up an outside shower w/ hot&cold water. There is also a camp ground a few miles from the AP.  See the accommodations link off the boogie web page for contact information  : http://www.ncboogie.com/

Whitney,

Can you please set some rules for these types of posts? I'm all for joking around but this is not the forum for vulgarities.

Thanks

WHAT is this ridiculousness???? Are you threatening Jim? This forum
was set up graciously by Whit for discussion, not for this
stupidity.
I don't get on this forum every day but reading this irritated me.

really?... you're bringing this thread back to life?

I fail to see the connection between "Re: camping/showers" and an
argument i will characterize as "old news." I'm going to modify the
subject line for you so that everyone can be happy now.

are we not ready to be done with this yet? All we had was a TM trying
to get a rough idea of the head count of tandem students.

JT- I don't know of anyone that needs a reserve pack right now...
except for 1 canadian that emailed me yesterday. At that point I
didn't offer cause I didn't know if you would be doing reserves. I'll
mention it to him.

I think main reason you were asked about it was in case folks have cut-
aways, so they don't have to quit jumping for the whole weekend. We
will make a place in a hangar for you to pack reserves as needed.
Thanks!

Shoot. I wasn't thinking about this until now, but I need a rigger. I have a broken toggle line (not sure WHAT it is called), but the core of the line from the steering/brake line to my toggle broke (about a 2.5 foot piece of line). I was hoping to get it fixed somewhere before Thanksgiving, but not sure now if I will be going anywhere else... Are there going to be any riggers available to fix something like this? Or should I make a trip up to see Dawn?

I would suggest taking care of this with Dawn before the boogie. A
toggle line is a quick repair. I think JT will primarily be available
for repacks as needed.
