Google University of Melbourne Campus Tech Talk! 2 talks + pizza +Robot Tute! COME JOIN US

Alice Boxhall, a Google Software Engineer will present, Your Logo Here: A look at the technologies used in building a single Google product.
Google's "Sponsored Map Icons", developed entirely in Sydney, allows advertisers to show branded logos on Google Maps. In this talk, Alice will discuss the Google technologies used to build this product, including MapReduce, Google File System, Google App Engine, and others.

Google Wave is a product that helps users communicate and collaborate on the web.
Pamela Fox, Google Wave developer advocate, will present on Google Wave - the product, the platform, the protocol.

This talk is of interest to the entire school, students (UGrad, PGrad) & faculty alike.
