Marijuana
prohibition has failed, and now Canada needs a new way of dealing with the issue
with smarter, more pragmatic policies. On
Friday, November 15th, the UBC Young Liberals of Canada will
be hosting an open Town Hall discussion on marijuana policy and
legalization. Joyce Murray,
Member of Parliament for Vancouver-Quadra, will be moderating the discussion.
Joining
us will be a panel of policy experts to give their views on the matter; Mark
Haden from the UBC School of
Social Work , Kash Heed, a former MLA and law enforcement
official, and Donald Macpherson, Director of
the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition.
The
event will be taking place on Friday, November 15th, from 5pm to 7pm on the UBC
Campus in the Buchanan A building, room A103.
