Re: india program update/call

Hey,

We have got things a little more in order regarding the trip. We are
both planning to leave on the 22nd of October, though since flights are
different I think we get in on different days! Thanks to everyone for
all your help. I sent out emails to plan at least the first half of the
trip and am just waiting back for replies. We wanted to go to SIDH after
the Basudha project, but the schedules aren't up yet for Nov. so we'll
just have to wait until we get there.

It would be nice to talk sometime this week, again I am pretty
available, but I it would be great to work around Ashley's schedule more
to get her in on a phone call. Finally Kasey, that would be great if you
could send the phone. I think Ashley will be getting there first, so
maybe you should send it to her? Thanks again everyone!

my schedule is kinda hectic with work and yoga school. a sunday might
be best for me. but i dont know how that would work for karly. are
there any other days/times that work karly?

Wow, it's already the end of September time is going by fast! Erin, thank you for reaching out to our contacts and working on the itinerary, and also everyone else for your continued guidance. I have wednesday,  thursday, and sunday off this week, so I can hopefully cross a few things off of my to do list. I can get on the call anytime just let me know. I forgot to add this. Rahul, our friend who has a strong connection with Debal and Basudha sent the following to me a few days ago:

Basudha looks beautiful. The rice varieties have all been planted and
their evanescent blossoms are beginning to take their first flowery
form. There are exciting events ahead, including the annual Basudha
Festival on Nov 22/23.

One/two/three students would be very welcome at Basudha. There's much
work to be done, much to be observed, and they could provide a good
helping hand in both. I've discussed with Debal and it's become
necessary that the students pay for their room and board expenses at
Basudha - $6 per day/night. They could stay for as long as they like,
although if they plan to arrive at the time of the Basudha fest, they
might have to brave it out in tents like those that you saw last year.

I've helped design posters, t-shirts and a logo for Basudha. I welcome
more designs for the t-shirts - the simpler the design the
better/easier to print.

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for that e-mail Kasey, I have emailed them and still not heard
back, and Debal's personal email does not seem to be working.

Our plans have already changed, I know you all warned about that. But
apparently we wanted to stay at the all women's ashram during Diwali, and
they recommended that it wouldn't be worth it because no one would be
around.

So we were planning on going to Basudha very end of October, and working
in the ashram sometime towards the end of the trip? What our your
opinions?
