=/\= Enterprise Briefing Room =/\=
Jason stared out the window at the yellow nebula and drummed his fingers
on his hip. His gut had been confirmed by Admiral Astryov, the crew
that Enterprise had brought back from the mirror universe all those
years ago had escaped NSPC finally. Jason had been kept updated through
the years, knew of the attempts, but never thought they'd actually make
it out. He ran a hand through his hair and let out a deep sigh, he knew
this wouldn't be pretty and could very well end badly, even if
Enterprise didn't encounter the evils directly. They could easily start
another war for the Federation on another front and make it look like
Enterprise started it, "I'm starting to wish I hadn't given up
drinking," he sighed shaking his then turning to sit in his chair.
Looking around the room, he nodded satisfied. Along with the standard
briefing room table, which he'd cleaned but not replaced, there was a
monitor set up for each of the battle groups command teams. He'd sent
an invite for Phoenix and Sekkoth to come aboard personally, after so
many years, it'd feel empty if he was just briefing the new CO over the
comm. He'd also summoned all the department heads, figuring he needed
to explain to them as well and deciding one big briefing was the best
way. Now he waited for everyone to arrive and went over the PADD with
the mission report again.
John walked out of his office looking like crap. After he had gotten the
call to help down in engineering, he had made it down to the lev el but
before he got through the door an eps conduit exploded. He had cleaned
himself off when he had heard all senior staff to the briefing room. He
stepped onto the turbolift and called out Deck 1. As he felt the lift
head up he looked down to make sure nothing was wrong with his uniform.
The turbolift came to a stop and it looked like the bridge didn't take
too bad of a beating. As he headed through the doors of the briefing
room, he noticed that he was the first one other than the Admira l to be
here. {{uh oh this doesn't look good}}. He headed over to the table and
grabbed a seat.
Jason looked up and gave a nod, but the usual friendly smile didn't
appear on the serious, and semi worried, face this time,
"Lieutenant....how'd things go in engineering?"
Jamie was so involved working on her fighter she had almost forgotten
the meeting; deciding to wait to finish tweaking her fighter she placed
the panel back on and headed off to the shower. She finished her shower
got dressed and headed for the bri efing room with a PADD and data card
in hand. Walking down the cooridors she made it just in time.
The sound of clip clops followed the whoosh of the doors to the briefing
room as they opened, Alexxis stepped through them head down in thought
as he took a spot at the table. Dressed in full uniform he looked a lot
more petite then when people had seen him in his civvies. His long
gunmetal blue hair was pulled back in a ponytail, keeping it out of his
face and within regulations. The anthroequine sa t quietly still in
thought waiting for the briefing to start.
John looked over at the admiral. " Well sir, as good as expected,
explosions throwing crewmembers away from panels, and lots of injuries.
But other than that sir it was what we predicted might happen." He said
with a grim smile
Kivicus entered from the bridge after turning over helm controls to Ens.
McCain and grabbing a quick bite to eat. He sat in a chair listening to
John report to the Admiral. He nodded to the new helm officer Ens. hart
befor e returning his attention back to Johns report.
Sekkoth entered the room and stopped short as soon as he saw Jason.
"Admiral." he stated as he bowed and placed his right arm across his
chest. He straightened up and moved to a seat not to close to the
Admiral but not to far away as to seem rude. But being on the Enterprise
for the first time Sadar did not want to upset people by sitting in
their chair. "It is good to see you again, Sir."
Shadow had just finished putting on a fresh duty uniform after finishing
his
morning workout. Something told him he needed to be in duty uniform instead
of BDU's today. Suddenly his console flashed he had a message, he walked
over and keyed in his access code. The message stated he was to report to
the briefing room for a battlegroup brief. Not understanding why he was
being included he shrugged and pinned on his insignia and dagger combadge
and headed out the door and to the turbolift.
Reaching the turbo lift ;he called for deck one after the doors had
closed.
The turbo lift speed off and Shadow still couldn't figure out why he had
been called to the brief, hopefully the Admiral would make it clear once
the
brief got going. Slowing the turbo lift comes to a stop and the doors open.
Stepping out he makes his way quietly to the briefing room and takes a seat
in the back just nodding to those who meet his view. After getting settled
in his seat the Admiral begins going over the mission report.
Roberts nodded, and seeing most of the staff there, slapped his comm
badge, "Roberts to the bridge, put the commands through," he ordered
then waited as the various faces blinked onto the screens around the
room, "first, thank you all for coming.....I've just been informed of a
situation that has come up from Beta Fleet command. How much do you
know about the mirror universes that a few Starfleet ships have
visited?" he asked, looking around the room and leaning over on the table.
Amanda sat in her readyroom looking at the monitor on her desk and
listening
to Jason as he went over the details of the mission report. Ten minutes
earlier she had been ready damage reports from the battle they had just had
after coming through the wormhole. When the call came in on the com that
Jason wanted to brief all the Battlegroup CO's, she could feel something
just wasn't right.
Finishing the last signoff of the reports she handed the COMM over to
her XO
and walked into her readyroom and punched in her access code for the
briefing. Now she sat staring at Jason and the other CO' plus the
Enterprise
Senior Staff. However she did see a face in the crowd that looked a little
out of place and from the looks of it he knew it.
John looked up at the Admiral with an arched brow. " Sir, the mirror
universe? Just about every Captain on Enterprise has somehow gone into
the mirror universe. And I read Dr. Bashir's, and Captain Sisko's
reports as well. I thought we were done dealing with that side sir."
"So did I.....on the table in front of all of you you'll find a PADD
with mission details," he started and waited for everyone to look then
set his own PADD down, "on stardate two four zero six zero four point
one one, the Enterprise, under the command of myself, was sent to
investigate the reasons behind Cyrga going quiet. During the course of
the investigation we were sucked into a mirror universe. Now, as I'm
sure Kivicus can tell you, with every decision we make there's an
infinant number of outcomes, for each problem, an infinant number of
decisions. In this mirror universe, Spoke did indeed kill Kirk and take
command, but he also became the leader of the Terran Empire," he started
and took a breath, "later we found out that it was him who'd drug us
over. In this universe, there was an Enterprise and they captured us
for a short time. We escaped, took them prisoner and captuired their
Enterprise and crashed it into Vulcan to destroy the generator that'd
brought us there. When returned, we brought a number of their crew back
and sent them to NSPC to be held indeffinatly. Two days ago, they
escaped after killing a number of personnel and stealing a Steamrunner
class ship, the USS Trafalgar. The escape was led by my double," he
finished and stood up straight looking around the room.

Sekkoth stired in his seat. This universe was hard enough for him to
deal with from time to time. The prospect off dealing with the mirror
universe chilled his blood. He just hoped there were no telepaths at the
table reading his thoughts for he was worried they hear some swear words
not even Sekkoth would utter out loud.
Shadow picked up the PADD and read over the details though having had
been in Starfleet Special Forces and Intel he was already aware of the
info. Sitting back in his seat he listens as the Officers discuss the
details.
Amanda reads the info as Jason speaks, She remembers hearing something
about this, but she was assigned to a different ship back then and far
away from the action of the Enterprise at that time. She heard the young
Officer mention something about Captain Sisko and her ears kind of moved
forward. Amanda had a major curiosity about Sisko and his crew when they
were on the Bajoran station.
Alexxis sat quietly listening, he'd never really dealt with the mirror
universe beyond what he'd had to read at the academy. Though after
reading over the padd his tail twitched nervously as he listened to the
various comments and informations offered up.
This irked him. Another him? That could be really dangerous. Someone who
could interpret his maneuvers before he used them, knew what they were
going to do, but with a menacing attitude? His pulse quickened slightly
and he looked around to see how other people were reacting.
Once that sank in, Jason stood straight, “now, of the current crew,
myself and Commander Roberts are the only one who were on that mission
that are still aboard,” he said nodding to Carrie, “I have also sent
word for Commander Angelus De’luvia, who is currently on Astate Colony.
Now,” he said and took a breath, “something that’s not in the official
reports, these guys are going to be worse then what was read about, the
reason being I tortured them…..I was especially hard on my double, I
nearly killed him. This was to keep up appearances, but word from NSPC
was they’ve been planning their revenge for that.
Of the crew on board right now, you all have doubles. I looked through
the manifest we took before we assonated Spock and blew half of Vulcan
up, your doubles were in varying stages of enlisted service, some were
killed when we took Enterprise E, some made it back with us. With our
faces things could get rough, very rough. This crew is more dangerous
then any we’ve faced, and why they aren’t us directly, it wouldn’t be
stretch to say they could think like we do. Questions?”
Carrie had managed to sneak into the briefing room rather unnoticed until
Jason finished. She was going to sit in a chair in the back when she
tripped and hit her leg. "SHIT!" She said out loud. Noticing the silence
she looked up to see everyone looking at her. "Uh sorry I'm late." Was all
she could say as she picked up the PADD and sped read it to catch out.
"Holy Shit!" She whispered to herself when she read the part about the
mirror universe counter parts escaping. She was defiently not expecting
that and blushed when she realized how unprofessional she was being.
Alexxis looked deeply in thought... Angelus De'Luvia. It was a vague
name to him... so long ago...
Maybe one of Justin Turbo's friends? He raked his brain and decided that
must be it. Perhaps De'Luvia had been mentioned in passing... Then again
Turbo had commanded Enterprise before Roberts... perhaps De'Luvia had
been one of his officers.
Then it clicked... right. Roberts and De'Luvia had been Justin's left
and right hands when he'd been CO here!
Lexx looked up realizing he had completely zoned out of the conversation
and hoped he hadn't missed anything.
Sekkoth sat back and just took everything in. It was his first breifing off
such a scale and did'nt want to make an ass off himself so he choose to be a
little conservative. But he did not like the sound off this breifing and it
was not a pleasent thought to be faceing all the people in the room... well
there alternatives anyway. There was so much talent in the briefing room
alone that if the alternate versions themselves posesed only half as much
skill... we all could be introuble.
John looked at the report again and pulled up a astromectric chart on
his own PADD. He did the calculations for their heading and double
checked his numbers. What he saw chilled his green blood to the bone. He
looked up and his olive colored skin went pale. " Admiral judging by
these reports and my calculations, your doubles logical destination
would be the Delta Quadrant. We will probably run into them." he said
with somewhat of indifference in his voice but a hint of panic could be
heard.
Phoenix considered the possibilities. One was most prevalent in his
thoughts, "Is it possible for more ships from this Mirror Universe to
come through and aid their comrades? Bad enough these ones are around,
we don't need any of their friends coming through an open door."
Sekkoth thought it was time to finally chime in. "Admiral, Sir. I
suggest we make a preemptive strike first, Sir. Who knows the trouble
the would reign on the Alpha Quadrant if they are not stopped." It was a
very Klingon answer but one that Sekkoth thought had to be considered.
Jason nodded to each, “aye, Lieutenant, I don’t think they knew about us
heading there when they left, but theres no telling what they have
access to,” he started then looked to Phoenix, “as far as I know, no,
theres no way for them to get reinforcements from their universe,
however, they may still have options with the Dominion, Krivaldi, Kazen
or any other of our enemies,” he replied then shook his head at Sekkoth,
“we can’t yet, the Marines are still setting up turrents and a few
others sensor buoys, I don’t want to leave Admiral Malone or Commodore
Thompson with their pants down.”
"If I may make another suggestion, Admiral. Let's find out how they got
here and shut it down before they can get more reinforcements. The Red
Dwarf has the best sensors in the fleet. I suggest we use them, Sir."
Sekkoth replied.
Amanda finally decided to chime in, looking at her screen and mainly
looking at the other Captains. “Admiral, you weren’t in command of the
battlegroup back then, now since these fellows from the mirror universe
operate off the principal of one decision has an infinite number of
possible out comes, wouldn’t it go to say that it is entirely possible
that in this mirror universe that you never even met my double or the
other captains doubles? If that is true then your doppelganger will not
know about us or even some of your crew, and even further do you think
his mind is set so much on revenge against you that he will not think to
call for reinforcements from his own universe?”
Shadow stood and piped in, “Even further on her question Admiral is it
not possible they don’t even have a Equivalent to First Force?” He sat
back down as he was just a Enlisted man and felt a little out of place
in such a briefing.
The Admiral sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before looking
back up, “I brought them here, they can’t get reinforcements from their
own universe. Why? Because I dropped a starship on top of the duplicate
Spocks head and killed him plus destroyed the machine used to take us to
the mirror universe,” he said then nearly glared at Starcher, “and what
does them not having First Force have to do with the price of tea on
Vulcan? Unless you were going to try and tell me how your gods like
you’ve told others?” he snapped knowingly.
He’d finally read the doctors report on the earlier issue with Starcher
and Cooper and he was far from pleased with how they responded to the
doctor, “and no, Chief Petty Officer, they don’t have First Force but
the escaped from a maximum security prison, killed fifty guards plus a
crew of two fifty on the Trafalgar without losing anyone. As for your
question, Commander,” he said looking back to the CO, “no, I wasn’t, but
if they were on that crew I met them. I want the battle group tactical
officers working together with Lieutenant House and Ensign Hart to come
up with some new battle plans. Also, all security departments will be
working with Lieutenant Kirk, I want this battlegroup secure. Squadron
Commanders, I want you with Lieutenant Mulholland working out new battle
plans, Mulholland, you’ll need to keep in contact with House. Lieutenant
Kivicus, you have access to five ships with advanced science sensors, I
want you and the other battlegroup science teams getting me a way to
track these guys, possibly a way to differentiate them if they came
aboard,” he ordered then looked to Tristan, “Drake, your battlegroup ops
on this one, I want you to help coordinate all departments and help
where you can, have your assistant take care of the day to day ship ops
stuff.
Now, if you haven’t been given specific departmental orders, I want you
still working with the rest of the battlegroup and your counterparts.
There’s plenty needing checks and needing to be covered in all
departments. We set out in twenty four hours so get to it, dismissed,”
he said then looked directly at Starcher, “Starcher, we need talk, wait
for me in my Ready Room,” he ordered and sat back down as the screens
blanked and people filed out.
