A Mission Post by Lieutenant Commander Melissa Andros & Lieutenant Colonel Morgan "Valkyrie" D'varo & Lieutenant Amanda Duquesne
Mission: Double the Pleasure, Double the Fun
Location: Deck 7, Chief of Tactical Office
Timeline: SD 241110.25

Never in a million years did Missy think she'd ever hold the reins of the tactical office tight in her fist... Not even when Merlin had passed them to her so very long ago did she believe she'd ever use the space she'd come to know as a safe haven and second home. Either way, she sat at the desk in quiet marvel of the world she'd created for herself. It was far from bleak. The ceiling had been adorned with stars and glittering constellations -- the same she'd placed above her own bed. A constant reminder of where they were and why.

This time they reminded her that she didn't want to be blown out of them... again. "Colonel D'Varo, Lieutenant Duquesne, please come to my office." She let her fingers fall from her combadge. It was time to get down to business... Time for Mommy's Little Helper to bare it's vile fangs and leak it's poison into the veins of those who threatened their very existence... Time to alter the future. If she were any less of a creature, she'd have shivered in anxiety and fear at the very thought. And while the cold hard truth of it sent tingles down her spine, it excited her. This was her ultimate conquest. The mark of a warrior. And as such, she waited.

Amanda pressed the door chime on Missy's office and the door hissed open. She stepped in with a smile on her face, saluted and said, "Lieutenant Duquesne, reporting as ordered, ma'am."

"At ease, Lieutenant. Pull up a chair." Missy grinned and gestured to the empty seats and couch in front of her desk. "We're just waiting on the good Colonel now."

"Aye-aye, sir." said Amanda, with a big grin. She sat down and pulled out her PADD and began entering commands, getting the data presentation of "Mommy's Little Helper" ready to show to Colonel D'varo. "I have a simulation ready for Colonel D'varo, Missy." said Amanda, "It should rock her down to her socks!"

Morgan shook her head as she finished a quick conversation with her crew chief. Exiting the flight deck at a run, it wasn't long before D'varo arrived at Andros' office. Quickly she entered and took a seat, "My apologies. There was a small matter that couldn't wait until after this meeting." explained Morgan. Right now, Morgan hoped some good news would come out of this pending discussion with Andros and Duquesne.

Amanda looked Missy and nodded, indicating she was ready to run her simulation for Colonel D'varo.

"Colonel D'Varo, welcome to the show." The Commander grinned and motioned for the pilot to take a seat. "We have a small treat for you, and would appreciate your input as per Archer's addition to our recipe for poison apples as it were."

"Let's see it," D'varo replied with a slight smile.

Amanda tapped a panel on the table which brought up a holographic image above the table of a schematic of one of the nanomodules that Amanda and her Engineering team had designed. "Colonel, let me introduce you to our means for destroying the influence of the Mirrors." began Amanda, "Code Name: 'Mommy's Little Helper'. These nanobots are completely autonomous once launched, unless programmed differently. They are each equipped with cloaking tech to make them completely undetectable by any technology but ours, and then only by equipment possessed by Commander Andros and myself."

"Very interesting concept ladies," D'varo continued to listen carefully as Amanda continued. Something like this had a lot of potential but it also left a lot of questions.

Amanda smiled and continued. "These little darlings are designed to to infiltrate, replicate within and take over the function of any system they attach to and on command will disrupt, destroy or give us complete control of that system." she explained, as the simulation showed a typical control system being infested by the MLH Modules, "Any system with these little babies in 'em can be turned back upon the ship or base the system is a part of as a weapon of intricate or mass destruction, or as a means of intelligence gathering that the enemy cannot detect. And before you ask, the control systems can only be accessed at this time by myself or Commander Andros. Not even a member of my design team has access to a complete schematic diagram of the mechanisms or the code of the control system software or access codes. We have even designed the access such that both Commander Andros and myself must not only enter the codes to enter commands, but our actual and complete biometric patterns must be confirmed before access is granted. If there is any type of coercive drug or biochemical markers of psionic influence detected in the access scan, access to the nanobot control system will denied."

"What are the precautions to prevent them from turning on us?" Morgan needed to know that their enemy couldn't do anything to interfere or jam the nanobots to prevent them from reaching their original target.

"You mean besides the ones I've already mentioned?" said Amanda, wondering if the Colonel had been listening or was bored by what she'd said. Amanda said nothing but took a breath and said, "There is one more contingency, Colonel. Within each unit there is a molecule sized hyper-thermite charge, just powerful enough to vaporize the unit in the extremely unlikely event that it is discovered or its programming or circuitry is tampered with by any unauthorized individual. Additionally, the charge will also be set off if the unit attempts to execute a command that is contrary to it's original function, which is given by us."

Morgan smiled, "I've been listening very closely to every word you've said. Given what we are dealing with I just want to make sure there are no loopholes that can be exploited by our enemy." Pausing for a moment she continued, "I'd be failing in my job if I didn't look at everything carefully. Excellent work."

Amanda then remembered that D'varo was part Betazoid and she probably picked up her frustration. She cleared her throat and said, "Well, thank you, Colonel. What we'd like to do, with your permission of course, is use a special torpedo with a low photon yield that we've already fabricated, to deliver a little package of these beauties to the New Terran Emperor aboard the Mirror flagship. They could act as intel gatherers and saboteurs for as long as we'd need and then, when we see fit, destroy the ship and the Mirrors activities. Additionally, once they'd proven themselves, we could put them aboard all their ships and take them all out. The Federation would be rid of these murdering scum forever!...Ma'am."

"Permission granted." Morgan replied anxious to even the odds a bit. Though she couldn't let herself forget just what was at stake here. "Let's get moving on this one."

"As you wish, Colonel." said Amanda with a big smile, "Have we located the Mirror Flagship? When is the next attack planned? We need to know so we'll have the MLH torpedoes ready for your fighters."

Answering Amanda's question, "I'd like to launch our next sortie within the next two hours. An updated Intel report is due on my desk in fifteen minutes. Let me know if you need any extra assistance."

Amanda made a couple of notes in her PADD and sent word to MCPO O'Malley to get the project managers working on the three torpedoes they had planned and complete them within the hour. "Thank you, Colonel." said Amanda, "I should have 3 of our special 'love tokens' ready for you within the next hour. That should give you time to re-arm your birds before the mission. Would you like them delivered to the Fighter Berths on Deck 22?"

"Yes, that would be appreciated. I have an Intel briefing to get to, then time to brief my pilots," Morgan replied. "If you have any further questions. You know how to reach me." Turning to leave the room.

"Consider it done. Good luck, Colonel." said Amanda, as Lt Colonel D'varo left the office.

Missy maintained her silence and gave D'varo a mock salute as she left.

Amanda smiled wide. ~Now you filthy murdering scum!~ she thought, ~We'll send you to the yawning pit of Perdition's Flames where you all belong!~ She looked at the schematic hologram, still displayed above the table in Missy's office, rolling and flashing its various parts and nano-components. She sat down and stared at it for a moment, then said, "Go out my little darlings, out among the darkness of space and punish them, the evil reflections of ourselves...go out and make Mommy proud!"
