A Mission Post by Captain James House & Ensign Morgan Crow
Mission: Double the Pleasure, Double the Fun
Location:
Timeline:

After she had finished responding to the CO's request Ensign Morgan Crow was wondering down a hall. She looked like she had no purpose, but purpose. She put off the look that she knew exactly where she was going, but from someone who knew her well could easily tell she was a bit lost. She had tried to memorize how the Enterprise was layed out, but her memory was failing her some. She had been on the Enterprise only about 9 hours now, and had only been a few places. She hadn't felt like unpacking any of her belongings yet, so was spending some time to explore the ship and get to really know what it looked like. Crow was still wearing her uniform, in the medical blue. Her black hair pulled back in a pony tail, her hazel green eyes slowly and carefully taking everything in. So far, she had run into very few people.

James was just finishing up with some work and was headed to get something to eat. Coming around the corridor and about running into Morgan. Stopping and looking to her, "You might want to keep your eyes up so you avoid that happening."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "My eyes were up, just not looking at you." Crow said, giving a smirk after she noticed his first force uniform. She had heard about that department, knowing that Unit 1 resided on the Enterprise. "Perhaps you shouldn't come bounding around corners." She said with a smile, teasing the man she didn't know who had almost run into her. Or had she almost run into him? She didn't know, not that it really mattered.

"Bounding around corners?" He reached up to rub his forehead ridges. Giving her a curious look a moment, "I don't bound around corners, and if you weren't looking at me, then what were you looking at, the wall?"

"I was looking at everything." She said in a matter of fact sort of tone, mostly avoiding the point that she was a bit lost, and hadn't wanted to ask the computer for directions on a matter of pride. "And I would of seen you, if you hadn't gone bounding around corners." She said with a soft accent. She was very much human, with a slight tan, if any.

"I wasn't bounding around corners thank you, Ensign." Giving a glance around them a moment then back to her, "Where were you going?"

"Sir, you were bounding around corners, Captain." She said raising her eyebrows, using his rank she saw on his uniform. "Where am i going, where am I coming form..... I'm not sure where I'm going, but sure not from where I came." She answered in a riddle like tone, her hazel eyes dancing in amusement.

"You are mistaken, but you can believe what you want." He shook his head and listened to her rattle on. Giving a sigh, "Well have fun with that, I'm missing lunch." Moving to the side.

"Um... Wait. I do admit... Im a bit lost." She had been wondering around a bit, and was very hungry.

James stopped and turned back to her, "See that wasn't so hard to admit was it. Where were you going?"

"I hadn't really planed to go anywhere. I've been walking around for the last hour just trying to get to know the ship." She told him. "But if you know where the mess hall is, or ten forward, or somewhere good to sit eat and relax."

"Well since I was going that way anyway, you can follow me." Turning to start down the corridor.

A little suprised, she followed him after a stunned moment. Catching up, she followed him as he headed in the direction she had already come from. "What's your problem?" She wasn't asking in a harsh way, but in a light hearted way, but in a curious way too.

"I don't like being accused so something I didn't or were not doing."

"I meant nothing by it." She said, resisting the urge to roll her eyes, but otherwise honest. "I'm sure even if I had been paying attention we still would of come close to running into each other."

It was probably good that she didn't roll her eyes, because he certainly didn't like that. Stopping at the turbolift and letting her in first. "Deck 6."

Entering the lift, she turned to look at him. "I'm guessing you don't like to be teased?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She was very bold, saying that to a Captain, her only being an Ensign.

"Teasing would have been saying it once. Not two more times and the way you did so." James looked at the panel a moment then to her.

"If you say so." She said with a smile, letting him have it his way. She held her hands softly behind her back.

He did say so, and he smiled politely to her as the doors opened and he followed her out, "What's your name?"

"Morgan Crow." She said as they headed out, but she let him lead, not knowing where they were going. "And yours?" She asked looking to him, after she memorized the look of the deck around them. She wanted to make sure not to get lost again.

"James House," Smiling to her again and heading along to the bottom recreation room. "Here we are. Food, some games, to relax."

"Captian James House of First Force Unit One." She said idly, however she didn't know he was the FFCO. She only knew what she did because of his uniform.

"Yes, I'm the CO." Moving over to one of the repilcators and looking through some food ideas.

Heading to a repilcator next to James House, she started to look threw the options. Finding something famliar, she smiled. She ordered a "Indian taco". It was fry bread topped with ground beef, lettuce, onion, sour cream, and tomatoes, and beans. She also ordered a large glass of cranberry juice. Taking her food, she sat at a table.

Actually tacos sounded good. He got three with beef and cheese. Some water to drink. Taking the tray he looked around a moment and went to sit with Morgan. "How long have you been here?"

"Nine and half hours." She said after finishing a bite of her taco and taking a drink of her water. "So not very long at all. And this is the first time I've gotten to eat in the last 20. The food on the transport cost too much."

"Why were you using a non-starfleet transport?" He raised an eyebrow and was already about done with his first taco.

"Because I could. It took me an extra 24 hours to get here, but for me it was worth it. This is my first time out of sector 001." She told him.

"Oh really?" He reached up to scratch one of his pointed Romulan ears. Picking up his second taco.

"First of my family for the last three generations to even leave Earth." She told him. "I didn't want to stay there. With everything going on out here, and all the places to go."

"So you're a big dreamer huh." He smiled lightly and tilted his head a bit to work on the second taco.

"Not a big dreamer, just like doing what people don't expect of me, and what they think I can't do. I've worked hard to make this my first post." She said eating her indian taco.

"So how did you go about that?" Taking a drink a moment then wiping his mouth.

"Like any normal person. I studied hard. I made myself stand out and make sure I got noticed." She finished up her taco. "But how did you end up here? I can tell your Romulan.... or at least part." Being in the medical field, she should know. But it was almost taltented that she could tell he wasn't part Vulcan.

"I'm Half, Obviously I got all my mothers physical traits though. My father was human, in Starfleet. I joined because of him and well I wanted to serve."

Morgan Crow gave a nod finishing off her water. "Then Im guessing your parents supported your decision to go into Starfleet?"

"Actually, no, I think my father did to a point but my mother was furious."

"Being out here is all I ever wanted." She said leaning back some. "And I do what I want." She gave a smile.

He raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Well you are out here now."

"And I'm going to make the best of it." She said with a smile. Standing up, she was going to take her dishes to the recycler. "Thank you for showing me how to get here." She said with a smile.

"You are welcome," He smiled to her.

With a nod, she left him and went to finish things she needed to get done. She had to return to sickbay and check on a few tests that her acmo was running and to see what had been finished so far.
