Archer opened his eyes and groaned as he took a deep breath of the cold, dank air. His head was spinning and the combined burn and jackhammer pain in his lower leg brought his teeth together as he let out a growl and pushed himself up into a sitting position. He pushed to the bulkhead behind him and sat back in the dim light then pulled his pant leg up and started running his fingers around his knee and just below.

Pain shot into his groin and down into his toes, radiating out from just below his knee. He arged then pulled the pant leg back down, it was at the very least fractured if not broken. He took a breath then laid his head back on the bulkhead. The meeting with the Nali hadn't gone anywhere near what it had been intended to, "what a surprise," Reaper muttered with a sigh.

James closed his eyes as the deck shuddered under him, as soon as he beamed to Nali they had greeted him friendly. He and their leaders had gone to the meeting chamber. But, once they had gotten in the scene that awaited him had not been one he expected, a group dressed in black uniforms with phaser rifles pointed at him. At the table had been a woman dressed in black who had just grinned at him. The last thing he remembered was the sound of the phaser rifle as it went off then nothing until he woke up here, wherever here was.

"Well General, it's about time you returned to us," the female voice from the darkness said with a hint of a predatory growl, "you must have needed the sleep."

"Or the fractured leg sent me into shock," James snapped back and squinted into the darkness trying to see the source of the voice.

"Yes, well, I killed the one who did that," the voice replied nonchalantly, "unfortunatly we have no medical personnel aboard so you'll need to wait until we arrive."

"Or until my ship takes you out and gets me out of here."

The voice kackled and he heard the cloth against the woman's chin as she shook her head, "not likely, they were drawn away by a not so friendly ship. They probably don't even know your gone yet. Rest now, James, if your ship survives the trap it's walking into you have my word we will not pursue it," the voice said then started walking away, humming.

Archer went to stand but his knee gave out on him. As he hit the deck again the song the woman hummed caught his attention, it was one he vaguely remembered but he didn't know from where, "who are you?" he called but was only greeted by silence, "I've got to get out of here....."
