Does anyone know if it is possible to control the size and colors of a
div's scrollbar? To see what I would like to accomplish, go to
http://www.bordertownband.us/btown_v1.html. This is a Photoshop image
so nothing works. However, I did insert default scrollbars in the two
boxes where I will need scrolling capability.

My problem? The default scrollbars are about 10 kinds of ugly and too
big. I would like to reduce the width and change the colors. Is this
possible using CSS and/or Javascript?

I found a possible solution using Ajax but I am not familiar with
Ajax. Thanks.

Steve,

You could try css and scriptaculous (js).
Take a look at these examples:
http://www.aldenta.com/examples/script.aculo.us/
You are probably looking for example #8.

I've also used it on this project:

together with the mouse wheel control.

A couple of years ago I used Flexscroll with good results:

There may be something better (I see it hasn't been updated for a
couple of years) but it'll do it. Good luck.

Hi Rodrigo,

Are you aware that the scrollbar does not show up in Chrome and Safari
(Mac and PC) for this page? http://www.pacseis.com/?section=about
