What is the Census doing to appeal to the not "hard to reach" populations?

Hi all! I just wanted to post this if any of you were interested, but
Junior (from MAPPS and Tri-CAP) had brought up a good point at the end
of the meeting. We had talked most of the night about how to inform
those who are not normally counted in the Census (immigrant
populations, homeless, nursing home elders, etc...), but we only
talked briefly about informing other "easy to reach" populations. We
had talked about how important word of mouth is, but are there any
other efforts to inform the general public about the importance of the
2010 Census?

This is a good point Lyndsey. After the meeting I was talking to Vong
Ross and asked him what population within his community were the
hardest to motivate to fill out the census. He said that surprisingly,
it is the younger generation, those who are professionals. This does
make sense because very often young professionals do not see the need
to be involved. Maybe this is because they feel as if they have their
whole life ahead of them and it is not that important to start voting
or getting involved in local politics at this stage in their life. So
how would we reach this "easy to reach" population?
