It was wonderful hearing you after such a long time. Hope you remeber me as former editor of Vasundhara- the Hindi magazine on ecological agriculture pblished by Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group. Currently I'm working with Find Your Feet, a UK based development support organisation as Programme Officer looking after partnership & projects in India across four states namely-Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand , Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Our main focus is Livelihood and tribal empowerment.

Dear all,

           

                                    "Greeting from Sampark"

 

      Hoping for your best health and also expecting that the rehabilitation work for the rural poor is in progress. You would be glad to know that our mutual effort for preventing farmer against the "Lift Irrigation loan" under the "Sandidh Dayitiva Nirdharan Adhiniyam" is getting momentum. Recently, Jhabua District collector has issue order to the Janpad office to pardon the debts of farmer taken under "Lift Irrigation Scheme" and also passes the same in form of prastav from the special Gram Shabha. This order is actually preventing the life of 1700 farmers, who have been taken the loan of Rs. 50,000/- (approx) under this scheme and getting exploited.

 

      This has not been done without your efforts. On behalf of the entire farmer's, we would like to congratulate those Volunteer's, media spokesperson and people's organization, for their valuable support to us in this Andolan.

It is quite heartening to note that such massive changes are taking place in
the lives and times of common people in far-off and so-called backward
places like Jhabua because of the diligent and self-less service done by the
socially committed workers like Nilesh Desai, Lakhman Muniya and Rama
Ninama.
All kudos to these brave people for their yeoman efforts.
