The EU Commission is searching for the iCapital!
This contest, the first of its kind, aims to acknowledge the outstanding results achieved by a city from an EU country or non EU country associated to the Seventh Framework Programme of research and technical development (7FP).
The city will be selected by an expert panel and shall demonstrate how it has built a significant and innovative ecosystem (not only from a technological, but also from a non-technological point of view) to link citizens, public entities, universities and business.
The deadline to submit proposals is December 3rd and the winner city will be awarded with a EUR 500 000 prize which shall be used to scale up its project.
An independent panel of experts will evaluate the applications on the basis of the following criteria: Innovation, Inspiration, Integration, Interaction.
The winner of the competition will be announced in spring 2014 at an awards ceremony in Brussels.
