Dear All,
The Interim Presentation is meant to assess the following:
- Did the candidate understand the problem to be solved very clearly?
- Has the candidate studied the background and literature needed to properly formulate the solution?
- How good is the literature survey so that the solution to be sought would stand among the known approaches?
- Based on the background and literature review, does the candidate and the guide have a clear understanding of the solution methodology?
- Are the tools needed to develop and demonstrate the solution available, installed and tested?
- Is there any course correction needed for the project path?
The candidate has to come with a Draft Thesis in the proper Thesis Template consisting of the first three chapters: Introduction, Background (appropriately titled) and Literature Review. The last two are expected to be fairly extensive and near final form. Any new literature pieces needed/used later on in the work can then be added later on. Candidates are advised to check the Student Handbook, my presentation on Final Project and the Thesis Template for guidelines on Thesis preparation and the better ones from previous batch Theses (available in the Library) from their respective Courses.
Regards,
Gangadhar
