Clarification Required on PAN Issued for Converted LLP

Hi Everyone,

I need your professional guidance regarding a recent conversion case. One of my clients has converted their Partnership Firm into an LLP. However, the PAN mentioned in the Certificate of Incorporation (COI) for the LLP is the same as the earlier Partnership Firm’s PAN.

Could you please confirm whether this is an error, or if the same PAN is generally allotted during such conversions?

Additionally, we need to open a bank account for the LLP, and the bank is asking specifically for the LLP’s PAN. Kindly advise on the correct process.
