Stamp duty on Trade Mark Assignment Agreement

Dear All, 

Please guide me what is the stamp duty payable on Assignment of a Global Trade Mark. 

Assignor is having Regd office in USA & Corporate office in Bangalore. 

Assignee is having Regd office in Bangalore.

Whether stamp duty is based on consideration or how.?

Please provide your valuable suggestions and views.

Dear Sir, 

Thank you for the information. But this article does not contain detail about the stamping formalities. 

However, from other sources I came to know that, for assignment of TM, the deed should be stamped according to the value of consideration for assignment. 

In Karnataka, it is Re.1 for consideration of every Rs.1,000/- and part thereof.

Dear Ganapati Ji,

Greetings of the day...

I am also facing the same problem. I have some doubts, It will be very kind if you guide me. My doubts are-

1. How many Forms are to be filed for assignment of trade mark, like TM 28 or TM 24?

2. How much time it would take to give effect to such assignment?

3. At the same time I visited Trade Mark Office in Delhi, They told me that Assignment is used only in case of sale of Trade Mark. However , in my case it is not a sale of trade mark, it is only a transfer of right to use the trade Mark.

Another doubt- in case of  Assignment, both the party will use the same trade mark on same goods to be manufactured.

Please advice.
