Objects Clause

A company is incorporated under Companies Act, 1956 which has MOA with 'other objects' Clause. If this company wants to start some new business given in other objects clause, can it do so by passing a board resolution.  Company is a limited company.

As per the Companies Act, 2013, now memorandum of association of the company contains only main objects of the company and matters incidental thereto. Other objects are no more required to be mentioned in the MOA.

You need to adopt the MOA and AOA as per the Companies Act, 2013.

After that only you can alter the Main object of the Company.
