Overseas Branch Office

Hi all

the Indian Company is going to open a branch office at USA and have come to know that one Form OBR is required to be filed with AD banker and after careful study have come to conclusion that the said requirement is specified under the FERA which is repealed on May 16, 2000, rbi issued circular no AD(MA series) 11 which clearly notifies that FERA is repealed and is replaced by FEMA.

and also I have tried to get the form OBR from the RBI site by way of search and could not find it.

PLEASE REQUEST THE LEARNED MEMBERS TO SUGGEST WHETHER THE REQUIREMENT OF FILING FORM OBR IS STILL IN FORCE OR NOT AND IF NOT WHAT ARE THE THINGS TO BE COMPLIED UNDER FEMA FOR OPENING BRANCH OFFICE ABROAD?
