Form No. MGT-1: Register of members,

Dear All,

Please clarify:

·         According to NCA all company will maintain their register of member in form No.MGT.1, it means in Statutory consolidated register, only member part will prepared as per MGT-1 or any other ?

·         Remaining part of Statutory register like—Register of application & allotment, Register of Transfer, Register  of Director, Register of Shareholding, Register of Charges and etc how prepared, as per old register format same or any changes required.

·         Those Companies are registered according to company act 1956 these companies also prepared their register of member as per MGT.1, but those are very old companies, they are also prepared only member part of register or any changes required total part of register ,if yes then very lengthy.

3. Register of members.-

(1) Every company limited by shares shall, from the date of its registration, maintain a register of its members in Form No. MGT.1:

 

Provided that in the case of existing companies, registered under the Companies Act, 1956, particulars shall be compiled within six months from the date of commencement of these rules.
