Dear All,

The pvt ltd co wants to offer rights issue.

My query is regarding rights ratio.

There are two shareholders.

Present distribution percentage is 49% & 51%

Current paid up capital is Rs.1991900/-

Proposed offer is for 845 shares.

Now how to calculate;
the ratio of ......... share for every ........... equity shares held.

Members kindly advise

Regards,
Girija

In same proportion (pari passu) as they have existing holding.
same ratio as they had earlier

The Company wants to maintain the same percentage of holding ,
that is 49 % and 51%

A is holding : 9760 equity shares (49%)
B is holding : 10,159 equity shares (51%)

The company proposes to issue 845 shares in same percentage.
So
A will be offered 431
B will be offered 414.

But I want how to know;
Now how to calculate;
the ratio of ......... share for every ........... equity shares held.

So you mean to say , I mention in the letter of offer as in same proportion (pari passu) as they have existing holding.

Kindly clarify

In right issue, the shares are issued in same proportion on pari passu basis to existing shareholders as they were holding in company.
