How can we find DIN by PAN or Name of the person

Dear Professionals,

I am facing a problem related to DIN application. i was trying to file a DIN Application(DIR-3) of my client. but MCA portal pop up is saying that the system has identified PAN/Passport found already in its database. so we can't file DIR-3.

But my client is sure that he never applied for DIN application earlier. my query is, can we find DIN by name or any other information on MCA portal?

would appreciate if any body help me out. i tried on the link "get DIN Application" but it did not work.

1. Log into MCA

2. Select tab

Companies/LLPs in which a person is/was a director/Designated Partner

3. then click on search symbol showing in front of * DIN/DPIN: info

4.enter the name and date of Birth der

5. Click on search

6. u will get the list

7. find ur DIN no.
