Query regarding Form CSR-2

Dear Members,

Please reply on below mentioned query:

I am trying to fill Form CSR-2 of a private limited company for the period 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2023.

In Form CSR-2, it asks for data of networth, turnover and net profit. Please reply in these fields should I fill networth, turnover and net profit of 31.03.2023 or 31.03.2022.

You are requested to reply as soon as possible.

I too have the same doubt.

When filling the form for FY 2022-233, I have to enter the networth, turnover & net profit relevant to the SRN of AOC 4.

SRN must be relevant to the FY 2022-23.

Then how can I enter the figures of 2021-22.

Yes, i am also of the same opinion . The values for the FY 2022-23 has to be mention. 

Further, please let me know that if CSR is applicable in the FY 2020-21 (one time) then is it mandatory to contribute the CSR amount for the next 3 years?

for the FY 2022-23 :
MCA has notified the Companies (Accounts) Second Amendment Rules, 2023. As per the amended norms, for the financial year 2022-2023, Form CSR-2 shall be filed separately on or before 31.03.2024. The CSR-2 is to be filed after filing Form No. AOC-4/Form No. AOC-4-NBFC (Ind AS)/Form No. AOC-4 XBRL as the case may be.
Therefore figures of aoc-4 filed for financial year 2022-23 needs to be filed on or before 31st march 2024.

Applicability of CSR needs to checked on yearly basis. Therefore no need to contribute towards csr if you are not breaching the limits under section 135 in particular year.

If it is the case, then help me with this

I am working on Form CSR 2 for a company whose Net Profit for the FY 2021-22 is Rs.5,47,37,710. My CSR applicability got triggered due to net profit and also I have spent the required amount on CSR projects. But the net profit for the FY 2022-23 is Rs.4,55,38,318.

Now I am filling the CSR 2 form for FY 2022-23, When I entered the Net profit as Rs.4,55,38,318, Option 3 (IV) in the form “Criteria that triggered CSR Applicability” is auto-populated as “Report for unspent CSR amount”.

All the other options got disabled and I cannot proceed further in the form.

CSR is applicable for the company as its net profit in the immediately preceeding FY is >5 crs. But I cannot fill the form

SRN should be of AOC-4 filed for FY 2022-2023 and Figures of FY ending on March, 2022 to be filed.

There is no connection between point 2nd(b) and 3rd. Both are different.

IN MY OPINION:

Financial Year to which the Corporate Social Responsibility details pertain should be 2021-2022

SRN of form AOC-4/ AoC-4 XBRL/ AoC-4 NBFC filed by the company for its standalone financial statements will be of AOC-4 filed for year 2021-22.

Further as per Companies  (Accounts) Rules, 2014  for the financial year 2021-2022, Form CSR-2 shall be filed separately on or before 31st March, 2023 after filing Form AOC-4 or AOC-4 XBRL or AOC-4 NBFC (Ind AS), as the case may be.

It is clearly mentioned in the instruction kit that the figures should be correspond to the SRN entered.

So we can’t just fill year as 2022-23 and figures as of 2021-22.

You have to enter SRN and FY for Current year (Reporting year)

And Net worth and All details of Previous year (Trigger year on which basis CSR was applicable and we have to spend in reporting year!)
