Franking of stamp duty on share certificate

Dear Members,

Can any one please guide me about the procedure and where stamp duty to be franked on share certificate..........as I'm putting up at New Delhi

franking concept is not applicable in Delhi, in delhi you have to write a application to collector of stamp, with the board resolution and signed share certificate, thn SDM shall issue a challan of stamp duty and after paying such challan u wil get stampd(showing the amount of stamp duty) on your share certificate.

Thanks for the quick reply, Franking concept is not applicable to Delhi only or to some states also...........and can you please give me the complete address of the Collector of stamps/SDM. ?

We have to enclose the original share certificate along with application  ?

i m nt sure but i thnk its only applicable in Maharathra, i dont know abt other states,

full address is Govt. of National Capital territory of Delhi, Office of the Divisonal Commissioner, Delhi, Stamp and Regn. BR, R.No. 204, B Block, 5- Sham Nath Marg, Delhi.
