Change in address of Auditor

Please confirm if an Auditor firm  has changed its address from one place to other but while filing AOC-4 and filing in Auditor details.
 its old address is getting filled in due to SRN entry.

 Is it fine if we continue filing with the same address or update the address after filing SRN of ADT-1 as Z99999999 and manually filing the form.

Please advise

Since the ADT-1 was validly filed for the period mentioned in the form and approved at the time of appointment, there is no non-compliance in mentioning the old address in AOC-4, as it corresponds with the records available with the Registrar.

However, to ensure proper record updation and future consistency, it is advisable to:

1. File a fresh ADT-1 upon reappointment of the auditor in the next AGM with the updated address; or

2. If immediate correction is preferred, you may manually file ADT-1 with SRN “Z99999999” (for physical filing) showing the corrected address of the auditor, along with a covering letter explaining the change in firm address.

COMPANIES ACT  is silent on change in the address of the auditors. Hence no form is required to be filed for change in the address of the auditors

Old adress is fine than, putting a fake SRN.

Old address won't be penable, i guess.
