Dear Friends,

Most frequently used and less frequently remembered Forms under the VAT & CST Act for your information.

Form

Description

Frequency

C

Declaration by purchasing registered dealer to obtain goods at concessional rate

To be obtained for every quarter and submitted on quarterly basis

D

Form of certificate for making government purchases (D form cannot be issued in case of sale made to Government on or after 1-4-2007)

No question arises after 1-4-2007.

E-I/E-II

Certificates for sale in transit

To be obtained for every quarter and submitted on quarterly basis

F

Form by branch/consignment agent for goods received on stock transfer

Monthly, but to be submitted to authorities quarterly

H

Certificate of Export

Up to the time of assessment by first assessing authority.

I

Certificate by SEZ unit

Not specified in rules (but should be submitted before assessment).

Dear sir, 
             Is it necessary to pay the CST if we are only doing stock transfer to other state ?My company is only involve in making good for other company all the material for the goods are provided by the parent company and after the production is completed the finished good are transfered to the depot of the parent company which is situated in the other state.
Pls guide me in this regard as early as possible...

For making stock transfer, no need for paying cst.

Please note that if you are sourcing local, then you should not avail certain percentage of input tax . Please take note of the same

Even in stock transfer, if you are depots are not issuing forms, then you should pay equivalent to local tax and even in tamil nadu not only penalty, you are not entitled for input tax for those goods which forms are not submitted. For same cause double punishment in tamil nadu and many company went filed writ petition with Hon'ble High court Chennai,  The case is pending. 

Finally while doing these type of stock transfers, please go through VAT act, rules of effecting state ( stock transfer)
