for above 2 registers , no prescribed form no is given and the contents are therein the Specific Rules.

plz tell me as per Section 120 we are required to maintain the registers in electronic form and 6 months time has been provided for the existing companies to change the data of physical mode into electronic mode.

are we require to maintain all the registers already maintained as per old Act in electronic mode.

                         Greetings of the Day.

As section 120(b) says that "allowed to be inspected.........................., MAY BE KEPT..............................."

It means it is not mandatory to keep the data in electronic form but if the want, it can keep in electronic form

Dear All,

 

Please suggest for Format/Form in which Register of Directors, Key Managerial Personnel and their Shareholding in terms of provisions of Section 170 of the Companies Act, 2013

 

Also include this register in the Checklist of Register.

 

One more thing could be noted that this is One of the register which is prescribed in the Companies Act, 2013 not in the RULES made there under.

Hi Kirti,

 

 

As regard to your query for mainating of registers in electronic form by existing companies, I am clarifying that only a listed company has to mandatorily miantain all documents and registers in electronic form and a transitioning period of 6 months is allowed to them. All other companies may volunatrily opt for maintaining of records in electronic form.

 

 

And if it is a listed cmpany, then yes all the records have to be converted into electronic form.
