How can a partnership hold shares

Please can anyone provide how to allot shares to a partnership firm 

I heard it should be in the joint name of partners,is it true?

Yes, shares can be allotted to a partnership in the name of it's partner as joint holders.

How does the sale of shares from partnership be done ,

Does every partner need to agree and sign the sh4 as the shares are in joint name ?

Yes, all partners' names will be entered in SH-4 (Eg- Mr. __ Mr__ and Mr. __ in the capacity of partners of M/s. __) and all partners must sign.

Yes, u allot shares in the name of partnership firm represented by all its partners or mention the name of managing partner acting as representative of all other partners.
