DIR 3 KYC (DSC Name mismatch)

Hi, 

We tried to file DIR 3KYC form, it is showing us the following error "Please ensure that the name entered in the form matches with the name of the DSC Holder"

The only difference here I see is the name as per DIN is the full form and in DSC it is with initials. 

MCA didnt have issue while incorporating the company now if it is creating an issue it becomes very difficult for a lot of directors since they have to get a new DSC again. 

Any thought on this and has any one else faced similar issue.

hi,

it's always advisable to instruct your DSC vendor to make the directors DSC as per full name given in Pan data base, 

so that it matches in the all the process.

we had seen, many dsc vendor take the name as per name printed on the card, but actually the name should be as per income-tax data base.

Dear Sir,

Can you please re-confirm this issue.? As you mentioned, in many cases where DSC is based on Aadhaar, definitely there will be mismatch. We may have to take fresh DSCs with exact names (first, middle and last name) as per PAN database (not as per PAN card..!!!)

Hello,

I guess this error will come only in case of foreign directors? 

Following is the extract of instruction kit:

Please note that the PAN mentioned in the form and the PAN mentioned in the DSC

affixed, must be same for successful validation.

In case of foreign nationals, who do not have PAN, the name mentioned in the form

must be same as the name mentioned in the DSC affixed for successful validation.

Its introduced to bring a transparency in the system so that only genuine persons ie persons who are really interested in running the organisation should possess DIN/DPIN as the case may be. This is because many individuals take such positions on a very casual way. Last year MCA had to go through the other way to disqualify the directors & deactivated their DIN's as well. So now they introduced the KYC way failing which their DIN's get automatically deactivated, if not filed by the directors within the stipulated time. Most importantly it's the responsibility of the director himself to file it & not the company.

If the applicants PAN and PAN mentioned in the DSC is same, then the form gets filed.

Dear Vishnu,

In my case the name mentioned in PAN is same as the name mentioned in DSC. I also cross verified the name in the certificate of DSC. Its exactly the same. Still this error is coming. Now I have raised a ticket for this & also contacted the helpdesk for which they say its a technical issue. Waiting for their response.

No need. Just ensure that PAN Given in DSC matches with PAN given in DIR - 3 - KYC form.
