Time period for Shorter Notice of Board Meeting

Dear members,

Is there any timeline  for sending Shorter Notice of BoarD Meeting?

As I want to convene a meeting today only so can I sent Shorter Notice today morning and conduct the meeting in the Evening?

AS CA  2013 does not mention any timeline for shorter notice.only notice less than 7 days is shorter Notice?

Can anyone clarify this?

Yes you can conduct the meeting in evening by sending the notice in the morning.

There is no timeline.

You just need to add another agenda which is "To take approval to call the meeting at a short notice" and pass the necessary resolution.

But the consent part shall become  part of Notice to be given to the Directors .

And once they give the consent meeting shall be conducted.

No, 

In case of the board meeting you do not need prior consent, you can take the consent from the directors present, at the meeting itself.

Check your AOA first. If it says minimum 7 days notice, then you can't conduct at a shorter notice without amending the AOA.

If it doesn't have such a clause, then consent of all the directors going to be present at such a meeting is required.
