If the form is filled using the "Others" option in bank classification, registration of dsc by banker is not mandatory.

Yes. I have filed such forms in the recent past.  You can also try by affixing a dummy signature and upload the form, it should ask you to make the payment.

Dear Rajesh,

Please try and upload a Form 8/17 with the "Others" option.  The DSC affixed may be of the banker or anybody else and the system should ask for the payment.

Rajesh,
As Mohan said earlier, some banks like Axis Bank, Karnataka Bank, etc. are covered under Role Check for Banks. You will get the list of Bankers by giving 'Get List' option in Form 8 In case of such Bankers, they will have earlier done role check at the HO Level. Confirm with them whether they have recently signed Form 8 for filing, as in that case it will be valid.
In case of other Bankers and Chargeholders, no role check is required.
Regards,
Ulhas

as mca portal is not working properly these days, bankers are advising company not to click the name of the bank from the drop down list. instead, they are advising us to click on 'others' so that the portal need not check the validity of the chargeholder's dsc

yogan.

Yoganand is right. Cross-check with the Banker whether they have role-checked DSC. If not, give their details as 'Others' and give CIN, if available. Ensure that the Charge-holder's name along with branch address/main address as applicable is properly mentioned on selecting others.

Rajesh,
However, please ensure whether you've affixed the proper signature as Ashish had referred to a dummy signature. I believe that would not be advisable, however giving option 'others' and obtaining banker's signature in chargeholder field should be in order.

Ulhas

Dear ,

Though Mr. Ashish told me to put dummy, but even he said to put the DSc of the banker also. I had selected the others option in the drop down arrow as the bank name was not available in e-form 17. then I has put the bank mngr DSC and the form got uploaded and also approved thru STP.

I hvn't used the dummy s I do not blv in it.

Good. It is always best to be safe than sorry.
I too had the same experience, and ultimately the DSC in-charge of the Bank advised me to file it using others, as he said it could take 1-2 weeks more for getting role-check done.

Ulhas
