Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

Two individuals propose to form an LLP, with the business of the LLP comprising primarily of trading in shares in the stock market. Over a period of time, such partners propose to bring in more individuals, as partners, to continue with the same business, viz. trading in shares. My question is - can an LLP be incorporated with its primary business being trading in shares.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

In my opinion, LLP can be incorporated with the primary business of trading in shares.

SEBI has also issued clarification of the foregoing point that an LLP can be registered as stock broker with SEBI, the clarification of SEBi attached with this mail.
