Is an affidavit by Professional required for filing GNL-1 for cancellation of already filed MGT-7  and filing a revised MGT-7. Could anyone clarify this

Yes. Normally, Affidavit from Professional, Affidavit from Director and Board resolution is required for such Form Cancellation.
