i know we can do conduct the same on shorter noitice also by getting the Consent in Form 22A, but still want to know about the exact days of Notice for EGM.

Thanks & Regards

Hello,

the main concern is that you need to get the approval of atleast 95% members of the company to conduct the general meeting of members. U can conduct it too in 7 days.

according to me. Kindly confirm with other also.

Dear Members,

Length of sending EGM notice shall depend on Articles of Association.

In case of Private Company you can alter your articles and you can give any days for sending notice.

But for public company it shall be 21 days according to Table A and Sec. 171 of the Act.

as per section 171 a general meeting may be called up by a shorter
notice. if consent letter 95% or 100% received.
the consent of the member may be obtained either at the meeting or
before the meeting. the consent is generally obtained by asking the
shareholders to sign form 22A as form of consent.

for one pvt company i took the shorter consent and conducted the egm on the same day.

if there is no restrictions from articles you can do.

It is actually 25 days[ 21+2+2].
21 clear days plus 2 days of post.

Isha is correct. 21 clear days means 21+2+2=25 days
