URGENT: PLEASE HELP! Query regarding doing EDP training

Dear Professionals,

I have passed CS Executive in June 2013. 

And I have already started my 15 months training and I am about to register the contract of 15 months articleship with my Company Secretary firm.

I will also be submitting the said contract to ICSI in next week.

Due to the negligence from my side, I somehow forgot to enroll for EDP Program, and as we all know that it is compulsory to finish the EDP training before starting of your actual 15 months training.

Now my query is that is there any way through which I can start my 15 months articleship contract without enrolling for EDP program as of now (obviously I will complete it in next 1 month)? Will the ICSI accept if I give an undertaking that I will finish my undertaking within 1 month along with my articleship form and other relevant documents? 

Or is there any other way according to you?

My only concern is I cannot waste another 15-20 days to enter the contract, its like an urgency for me to register the contract in next week only.

Dear Rinkesh

There is no need of submitting any undertaking... you can complete ur EDP even after starting ur 15 mth training..just go ahead and start ur training.. i did the same.. during your training also you hav to do 25 hrs PDP training but you can do it also after completion of ur training.. i did the same and have seen many others also who hav completed their training like that..

Hi Rinkesh,

You will get eligibility for undergoing training only on completion of 8 days EDP. Also you have to submit the photocopy of EDP certificate while sending the contract of 15 months training to the institute.

   I completed my EDP after 15 months training. So no problem as such.

   Best thing to do in your case is to enroll for E-EDP. U can start even today. No need to wory
