i am unable to effectively use the mca portal using internet explorer
previously i was using ie6, now upgraded it to ie7 - invain, the same problem

it is taking 5 mts to open the home page
then, 5 more mts to open the login page
then 5 more mts to open the eforms page
every slide is taking 5 mts time, and by the time i upload, the page is getting expired

i tried in five different systems in my office just to check in case my computer is having a diff setting
but no, all the five systems are behaving in a similar fashion

i called up the chennai pfo that has been designated to solve technical errors
they couldnt solve the problem

however, i am able to use mozilla and upload the forms easily
but, the following are problems with mozilla :
- business user ids cannot be opened
- role check registrations are not possible
- all those other options for which dsc has to be affixed dont function properly

five years that things have gone online, still mca didnt set up an exclusive technical section for solving these issues
can some one kindly elevate this matter and do the needful or please provide answer to my problem

regards,
yogan.

Hi Yogan

Even I faced the same problem of MCA homepage getting loaded in almost 5 mins and most of the times it even crashes/hangs. To avoid this I always first go to google.com and then search for mca and then proceed to login and surprisingly it helps it load in seconds (very illogical!!!).

Your observations regarding certain inabilities of Firefox (FF) are correct. To overcome these issues best way would be use IE from within FF. Yes its possible. Just get a free add-on called IE Tab 2 in FF. To install this add-on ensure that you have FF version 3.6+ installed. Steps to start using this add-on:

Open FF > Then go to Tools Menu > Add-ons > then click Get Add-ons > just type 'ie' in the search box and press enter > out of search results select 'IE Tab 2' and click 'Add to Firefox'. Restart FF to complete add-on installation.

Now go to google.com in FF once it restarts and search for MCA. Right click the first result referring to mca.gov.in and select "Open Link in IE Tab". Now MCA site will open in IE Tab within FF. Just to quickly check if this works or not > try logging in with your business user id. I am sure you will be surprised.

Regards,
Mahesh
