Dear Richa,
Please go through MOU of ICSI and ICSA.
If you are a registerd member of ICSI for 2 years then u get exemptions and u r supposed to write only 3 papers and the fees is also less for CS members.
more details:
If u r member but for less than 2 years then can go through IQS..more details are there on the ICSA website...here u need to write 8 papers of 2 module  and each module fees is 600 pounds.
more details :

Thanks,
Deepa

Hello ,

I have done my ISCA. Job opportunities are very poor. Recently , UK has removed mandatory provision of appointing company secretary. Even there is mandatory provision , there is virtually no job opportunity for Asians in UK.

Adding ICSA qualification may give knowledge enrichment but not any value addition  on the employment side.

Hello,

Maybe not in the UK, but has anyone tried if there are opportunities in other countries like the South East Asian Countries?

To the best of my understanding, one with the ICSA membership can have the membership transfered to the institute of Corporate Secretaries in that Country and have an affiliate membership.

If any of the learned members have any such experience, please do share them

Regards,
Kirti

Hello,

UK-Companies Act - No Company Secretary Required

The Companies Act 2006 has been slowly introduced since it became law. The latest changes in April 2008 now mean that UK limited companies no longer require a company secretary. A company can operate with a single director.

New companies

If you are registering a new company then there is no requirement to appoint a secretary at the time of incorporation. All you need is one director to be appointed. They will need to take on the responsibilities of the company secretary. The articles of association for the company should be updated to reflect the latest changes to company law.
