Who can be Authorised signatory for Company

Dear Professionals,

I want to know can an outsider who is not associated with company in any way be it directorship , employee or professional be appointed as authorized signatory of the company for execution and signing of documents like rent deeds, bills and cheques on behalf of the company.

If yes then what are the legal requirements that needs to be taken care of and who can be appointed as authorized signatory by company.
