Dear Sir,

Please suggest vacancies for an 5+ years experienced company secretary who despite having worked as a company secretary and compliance officer of a listed company is fed up of waiting as no jobs for Rs. 50000+ salary or that experience is materializing anywhere and has forcefully moved over to work outside company law with much aversion as there's no sign of any vacancies for which so called recruitment happens ever closes soon. There's Shetron which has now advertised a second time calling for a company secretary after an earlier recruitment in August 2015, then there are other listed cos like Subex Limited, Camson Biotech, Paramount cosmetics that are in the recruitment mode for a long time and private companies that seem to be testing waters for a long time without appointing one like Algypug, Trianz, Vidal, Add group and so on. One common thing with all these companies irrespective of whether they are listed or unlisted or private is that they don't want to pay beyond a threshold of Rs. 45000 to 50000 net salary. 

For a profession like company secretary where staying in a job is not certain due to legal risk or even salary backlog issues which are not told upfront until one finds out oneself after joining(eg. of Kirloskar Electric) and even being in the top echelons of qualified people in the country (mere 45000 of 125 crore population, unlike legion of crores of engineers who are still comparatively luckier to find jobs in their own place), the prospect of migrating out of one's city where one's kid is studying in school is ridiculous to expect and surely undeserving except when the pay is lucrative, may be something like drawing Rs. 1 Lakh or so, which is highly unlikely as for that salary, in the presently evolved corporate standard, one has to be all-in-one, a CS, CA, LLB and an MBA, as if all these prestigious qualifications are as easy as collecting sea shells on the seashore. But the trend is so abysmal that an all employers expect a company secretary to mature only by experience and stay only in fresher level salaries through out one's professional career some even are abusing with their job ads like Handiman Services Limited that have advertised for Company Secretary/EA (a dual position) while some like Bal Pharma Limited that have advertised in ICSI website have unabashedly quoting salary of Rs. 1.8 Lakhs -2.5 Lakhs which one can do without any legal risk or going through such a double whammy low-pass rate and grouping rigour to finigh this exhausting expedition only to find out that the journey is not over and still one needs an LLB (though quoted as desirable, employer has the mandate to choose only those that have this qualification clearly making others to get short-changed and no place to go).

Please do something fast with the Institute's machinery to ensure that all those qualifying companies appoint one atleast now, even if 2 years have lapsed already) to safeguard the interests and glory of this prestigious profession as emails to the honourable president also went unanswered. It's unfortunate that almost every company so called recruitment looks like a sham and takes not less than 6 months to 12 months times. For this profession where job is not safe due to associated legal risk, this kind of job market is too painful as a company secretary is forced to make a choice between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. between finding a job for a long time where one's market value erodes caused by the job gap or find some xyz job that's legal but outside company law that materializes immediately so that one can survive. At the end of the day, if one is left to the whims and fancies of the companies and the job market to take some xyz job that what for one qualifies as a niche professional company secretary. Finally, if you can help as the previous poser, for suggesting any good paying jobs for an experienced company secretary in bangalore itself without the worry of migrating ever often for THE NEXT JOB.
