Stamp duty on Share Transfer

Dear All,
            I would like to know the rate of Stamp duty paid on share transfer in the state of Gujarat. In Maharashtra it is 0.25% so, how much is in State of Gujarat??

Hi,

In case of share transfer the stamp duty is uniform for all over India which is 25 paise per hundred Rupees or part 
thereof, of the value of shares.

Hi,

I too hope that rate applicable for stamp duty is uniform all over the state.

Someone correct me if i am wrong.

yes, it is stable/fix rate of stamp duty all over India.

Refer to Indian Stamp Act. It is a Central Subject, however collection being by States, the manner of stamping is affected. For example, in Karnataka, it is done through franking at Stock Exchange-though even that is now not available.
What we do is to get Transfer Stamps from Kerala & Tamil Nadu.
