Investor transferring its shares to its affiliate i.e., a partnership firm

hello, 

I am new here, my name is Sakshi Dinodia. 

just wanted to ask... if an investor of a company( our company) wants to transfer its equity shares to its affiliate i.e. a partnership firm, will it affect the our company's valuation or anything. kindly tell as i am new in this. i am a final year law student.
