Hi..

We used to do through agents. 

Agents like banks, cameo corporate services etc.

For rate of duty, follow as per the amended Indian Stamp Act.

As far as I know, there is no stamp duty on shares certificates in tamilnadu

Hi all

PFA amended Indian Stamp Act. 

And now, have to pay stamp duty not only for share transfer but also for allotment of shares too.

As per new act, rate of stamp duty for transfer of shares is 0.015% on the consideration.

approach local Post Office (Central one and not small branch). ask them for Share Transfer Stamps and purchase from there and affix on SH 4

Now payment of stamp duty can be made through online mode only. The rate of stamp duty of transfer of shares in physical mode is 0.015% on consideration.

You can search Cameo in the search engine and avail their services for doing the same.
