Date of Signing of LLP Balance Sheet (2020-21)

Dear Friends,

 

As per Section 34(2) of LLP Act, 2008,

 

"Every limited liability partnership shall, within a period of six months from the end of each financial year, prepare a Statement of Account and Solvency for the said financial year as at the last day of the said financial year in such form as may be prescribed, and such statement shall be signed by the designated partners of the limited liability partnership."

As per this provision, Accounts of LLP should be finalised on or before 30.09.2021

Considering the LLP extension Notification No. 16/2021 dated 26.10.2021, can an Auditor Sign Financial Statement on 30.10.2021?

Please guide in the matter as soon as possible.

No, it should be signed on or before 30.09.2021, extension is only for Form filing not for preparation of financials.
