Urgent: Request for Assistance in Updating Incorrect Email if DIN was taken in current FY

Dear Sir/Madam,

On June 28, 2024, we filed Form DIR-3 for the allotment of a Director Identification Number (DIN) for a proposed director. On the same date, DIN was successfully allotted.

However, while submitting the application, an incorrect email address was inadvertently entered. The email address provided was incorrect, and the form was submitted without OTP confirmation.

As a result, the incorrect email address is prefilled for creating a user ID and registering the Director as a Business User on the MCA V3 portal. We do not have access to this email, which has caused issues with OTP verification for the registration process.

Currently, we are unable to proceed with the creation of the user ID for the Director due to the OTP issue. We kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter or updating the email address at your end, as filing Form DIR-3 KYC is not applicable for this financial year.

We appreciate your prompt attention to this issue.

When was the DIN generated???

IF the DIN was generated after 31st March 2024, then only next year (after 31st March 2025) only you need to do DIN KYC.  This year it won't be applicable.

I am facing same issue which Priyanka is facing .  DIR 6 cannot be filed as digital needs to be registered with otp on email which is incorrect. Without digital registration , DIR 6 cannot be filed. 

 

On raising a ticket on the portal the same was resolved without solution .

@ Sundaram jm - Sir, DINs obtained in the current financial year are not covered under the recent notification. We have contacted the helpdesk and raised queries regarding this issue. However, their response has been to wait until 1st April 2025, which is impractical, as the filing of DIR-12 needs to be completed as soon as possible.
The following error occurred while submitting DIR-3 KYC: 

@sv jain associates-  Have you previously handled a similar case? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the key points or matters to be included in the declaration for reference..

@CS Swapnil Nayak - Sir, there is no option to change/update Email id in DIR-6 form

Priyankaji just create the wrong mail id and receive the OTP.

I mean if the correct mail id was ab...@gmail.com, but by mistake you have given it as 12...@gmail.com, then create 12...@gmail.com and you will be able to receive the OTP.

Hi Priyanka,

You can create an email id with same user name which you given during DIN application. For e.g  if you putted 123...@gmail.com by mistakenly during DIN application then you can create a gmail account with user name 123...@gmail.com, after that you will able to get email otp(But You will have to pray to God that no email has been created with that username before this).
