Bonus share Certificate

Dear all,

Please Advise me whether stamp duty on Bonus shares Certificate shall be pay...

And if yes then on what bases the stamp duty shall be payable. (in Mumbai)


As I understand, the stamp duty is 0.1 % on consideration of shares. But in case of Bonus shares no consideration accepted from allottees.


Please Advise ASAP

As per my views, the stamp duty will be paid on the value of existing share of the same class as on the date of allotment.

Others views are solicited.
