Sister Concern and Associate Companies

Please clarify me the difference between Sister Concern Company and Associate Companies along with relevant supportive provision fo the terms if any....

Dear Balaji

Sister Concern means the same management but different companies it means not holding major interrelated party transaction

Associate Companies means holding major share holding of the company (holding and subsidiary relationship) A holds B & B holds C

A & C was associate company

Correct me if i am wrong and others views are expected

there is no such concept of Sister Concern Company and Associate Companies in Company Law only Holding company and subsidary company is defined.

 

These words are used traditionaly but not carring any legal meaning....
